Another message for research community

Dear research faculty, 

Many of you have likely seen news reports of a 2-page internal memo from the acting director of the Office of Management and Budget to the heads of the federal agencies instructing them to place a temporary pause on grant, loan, and other financial assistance programs.  This memo does not contain many details, and there are issues related to that guidance being raised by many groups.  

At this point, the university has not received any specific guidance from NIH or NSF regarding our research awards. So, please continue your research projects until we receive instructions from the agencies. If you receive a communication or stop-work order from a sponsoring agency, please immediately forward that information to OSRP so that OSRP can review and provide guidance.

Obviously, this news is quite unsettling to our entire community.  Please know how much we value your work and we will continue to communicate updates and navigate these unprecedented times together.
